Everyone has a mission in life. Our mission as a company is to have a positive impact in the community, we live in. Even though we haven't had the luxury of being one of the companies that has helped our local neighbors with their light displays who live on Peacock Lane, one day we hope to take part in the decorations that take place on the iconic street in the Laural Hurst neighborhood. Portland is known for several different things. One of those being to keep Portland Weird. But an awesome attraction during the holiday season if you feel like getting out to see the Christmas Lights during the Holidays, Peacock Lane is a must see. Iconic Holiday Lights in Portland

Peacock Lane Magic

I've traveled all over the world to find inspiration for my stories. But I have to say, one of the most fascinating places I've come across is right here in the United States: Peacock Lane in Portland, Oregon.

As you stroll down Peacock Lane, you can't help but be enchanted by the charming houses that line the street. They're all unique and full of character, but what really sets them apart is their stunning holiday light displays. For decades, the residents of Peacock Lane have been decorating their homes with thousands of sparkling lights, transforming the street into a winter wonderland that's nothing short of magical.

But the story of Peacock Lane goes deeper than just the twinkling lights. It's a tale of community spirit and tradition. The tradition of decorating the homes with holiday lights started in the 1920s, and has been passed down through the generations ever since. The neighbors on Peacock Lane take pride in their annual display, spending months preparing and perfecting their designs. And they don't just stop at lights - you'll see everything from life-size Nutcrackers to inflatable Santas and snowmen.

But what's even more impressive than the decorations themselves is the sense of camaraderie and goodwill that's palpable on Peacock Lane during the holiday season. Families from all over Portland flock to the street to experience the magic of Peacock Lane, and the residents welcome them with open arms. They'll even serve up hot cocoa and cookies to visitors, spreading cheer and warmth on even the coldest of winter nights.

As a writer, I'm always on the lookout for inspiration - and Peacock Lane has given me plenty. The sense of community and tradition is something that's rare in today's world, and it's something that I've tried to capture in my own writing. And the beauty of Peacock Lane during the holiday season is something that will stay with me forever.

So if you ever find yourself in Portland during the holidays, be sure to take a stroll down Peacock Lane. You won't be disappointed.

Peacock lane is in SE Portland east of Caesar Chavez Blvd, inbetween Belmont and Stark street.
